I love going up to park to go to the dog park with the three dog(my two and my bf one)
but lately having a bit of a problem my boyf rescue dog is the most loveable dog in the world so happy but very hyper ( only time he can come off the lead is in the dog park) he loves it he runs up and down and plays with all the dogs! he looks a bit like a tough dog but really hes a sweetie hes not restricted in anyway on the RB list so hes allowed in the dog park. now most of the time when were there we go in know one else is there then other dogs come in and he never usually has a problem but in the last few weeks a guy has been coming in with his lab after us and what ever way the lab is him and ours fight now its not our fault but this guy keeps running us out by giving out that its our dog and he shouldn't be in here ect its getting fairly annoying like hes waiting for us to go in then brings his dog in so this starts? hes a fairly young lad. but it just doesnt seem fair that we are always the one to be made leave because he may look a little rough when really hes not and hes just had a bad upbringing his first year! its the only time it happens really.
sorry if it doesnt make sense but its mainly a rant! and just wondering how i can stop the other guy running us out all the time, he can get quite angry and aggressive we just leave cause theres not point in starting a fight!

sorry if some of it doesnt make sense im just really annoyed!!

Is there anyone administering the park. You could appeal to them. However if there isn't then if your going to fold everytime the other guy gives out then there is not a lot that can be done.

i dont think theres anyone. never seen anyone! i dont want to fold either i just do bbecause it seems easier then a fight, but now it just seems to be getting unfair, and dont know what to say because our dog is a crossbreed (Heinz 57) people there get the wrong impression from him(witch is totally unfair)!

If you fold because its easier then you cant expect to get anywhere. I take it that you discussed finding out what time this guy goes to the park and working out when to go so as to avoid his dog?

I’m not a big fan of dog parks myself, mainly because of problems like yours. The vast majority of people who bring their dog in keep them under control but there is always the odd owner who can’t control themselves, let alone their dog.

I can kind of see the other owners point though. Anytime I have been in a dog park it can be very frustrating if one dog is overly hyper. Certain dogs can react badly to that if they aren’t used to it. But either way, the guy has absolutely no right to tell you to leave the park. I would always do a lap of the dog park before heading in (just to check out the other dogs in there). If I didn’t like the look of just one of the other dogs, there is no way I would go in. If you were there first he can clearly see you in there and can see your guy bombing around the place so he must be a right idiot to still go in with his dog. It’s unnecessary confrontation from him (and he’s being a very irresponsible owner putting his dog in a situation he knows could turn sour).

I know it’s not fair but I think you were probably right just to get out before you or your dog gets hurt. You do have just as much right to be there though, once you can control your dogs (and that’s more for their safety than anything else). Perhaps the next time he is coming in after you, just call your guy over and put his lead on. Let your other two run around and you just follow them with him. Not ideal but then he can say nothing to you. If anything happens between the two dogs it will be his fault. It’s not fair on him as it’s his only chance to burn off some energy but it will keep him and you safer, that’s the most important thing.

    Good luck op. :)

i also fold because i dont no what to say. he seems to be there different times all the time. there is a few days midweek that hes not there but weekends there never a set time! i dont want to stop goin on weekend (best time to socialise much more dogs there) and were always in there before him.

i suppose it was more 0f a rant because im annoyed and if anyone cud give me a tip on what to say to him that wont cause an argument.

'it seems our dogs dont get on. Mine gets on with the other dogs and so does yours. they just dont get on together. why dont we agree on times when we'll be in the park so they dont meet each other and we can both relax'
