Dye disaster

    :(
Hey, dyed my hair with a semi permanent medium brown dye over the weekend. Hate the colour. I am naturally a light brown, but have blonde highlights. Dyed it cause i can't afford the constant trips to the hairdresser and wanted to give my hair a bit of a break from the way highlights tend to leave it so dry.
If i wash it loads, should it start to tone down a little bit or can i buy a new bottle of a lighter brown to put over it? Should i just go to a hairdresser to save myself?
    Thanks.

My semi (Garnier Herbashine, in dark blonde) fades after about a month, I don't wash it every day, I'm sure it says something like 28 washes on the box. You could try Fairy Liquid or Head and Shoulders, that should strip out some of the colour and tone it down a bit.

Well, i dyed it on Saturday. I have shampooed it 6 times since then and haven't seen any difference in the colour. Hope it dies down soon:(

Boots do a thing called Colour B4 that strips the colour from your hair worth a try ;)

I've heard that washing hair with head and shoulders (or even a bit of fairy washing up liquid) strips out colour alot.
Semi permanent should wash out eventually...
