Will we see a new Eoghan Harris after the 25th?

Sindo columnist Eoghan Harris, do you think we will see a new Harris emerge after the GE? I say this as the man is one of the most peculiar writers and political critics I have ever come across. He has gone from been a Workers Party member (to the left of Labour even) to been a cheerleader of Fianna Fail, and even going as far as to defend Bertie Ahern during his final years. He has also changed coats when it comes to politics god knows how many times between supporting the workers's party to becoming a Fianna Fail stalwart in his weekly columns.

So do you think we are about to see a new man after the election on the 25th, aka. Harris, the FG stalwart?

You've already seen it last week, when he said that Kenny was showing true leadership and would be a great Taoiseach. During the Bertie Boom, he called him "Kenny Lite".

    He is a schitzo.

Harris is a fully-fledged OCD moron, as is anybody who still buys the Sunday Independent. Fact.

Appointing him to the Seanad for ranting in favour of Ahern epitomises so much of what was corrupt about Ahern's reign. Most of all he's a sycophant who depends upon the leftovers from the table of the political elite. His services are for sale; an intellectual prostitute without the intellect, so to speak. His entire being is consistently the antithesis of principled and ethical politics.

So, Kenny and Gilmore not making him a Senator will be an immediate improvement on the last shower in power...:D

Meh, one of many attention-seeking, hypocritical political pundits - in Ireland and abroad. Met him too - gave him the benefit of the doubt initially as you can't just assume you won't get on with someone who doesn't share your views. Seemed an awful person. Astoundingly arrogant.

I used to find Harris vaguely watchable, but these days I couldn't give a flying f*ck what that dipsh*t thinks about anything.

Since he dumped Orville, it's him who's obviously had something up his ass.

He'll cheerlead anyone if it gives him the attention he so desperately craves, and hopefully the new govt, and the people of Ireland, will simply ignore him, and his inane ramblings about anyone who dares disagree with him, and just get on with our lives.

People like him hold society back, because they want to be stuck in the past with all the old hatreds. He'd be in hog heaven if there were bombs going off every day.

I never had time for anyone who wrote for that pretentious rag the Sindo. Harris is a twit who'll bandy to the person with the best position to advance him. He thought Lenihan was going to be FF leader so he started tearing strips off Michail Martin, a backstabbing litttle shít....and so is Harris.:)

Ideally of course, we just wouldn't see Harris...

I remember hearing him banging on about FF and how great Bertie was for years. He doesnt have an ounce of credibility imo

That explains why I've never seen the three of them in the same room together. I just knew there was something up there!
