    I'm still undecided but am wondering if i could transfer from a SF course to a JF course next year ? or will i have to go through the cao?

    Get in touch with the relevant department heads once you've made your mind up. You may not have to go through the CAO but you will still need to points to qualify for the course as a rule of thumb.

    I think sooner rather than later tends to be best with these things too so bear that in mind!

    There's a transfer form one can acquire from the admissions office which you'll need to fill out. As far as I'm aware (and I'm also applying for a transfer for next year) it's just a case of handing that up prior to August 1st, no need to go through the CAO.
