Disable ipod classic split-screen

    Hi guys,

    I was wondering if anyone knew if there was any firmware release or anything that allowed you to disable the split-screen built into the Ipod Classic. I know it's an old player at this stage, so there's not much discussion about it, but if anyone knew of a way to do this, let me know! I've tried formatting it and then installing the ipod photo firmware, but itunes won't let that happen.

    There is no way as that is an apple "feature".

    There will be a rockbox port coming soon for your player. At the moment it's only for Devs and not for end users as it prevents you using the Apple OS at all.
    Check http://www.rockbox.org every so often.
    When it gets to Unstable or Stable it should be fairly usable.

    This is a firmware replacement and doesn't resemble the Apple OS in any way tho.
