    Hi,

I'm looking for 1 to 1 swimming lessons in Dublin. Preferably on south side as I'm living in Rathfarnham. I can swim but pretty poorly and I have a sprint triathalon in seven weeks  so was hoping to get a few lessons before then! :)

I would recommend you go to your local pool and ask there. I know there is some excellent teachers/coaches in the Swan Leisure Centre.

Or if you dont mind travel maybe try the National Aquatic Centre. They have two dedicated 121 instructers, one of which is a semi-pro triathlete

Most pools that have lessons will have a "private" swimming teacher available.

In the meantime i suggest lots of kick, this is usually a triathlete's biggest flaw.

Kicking really has nothing to do with your stroke 15% of the propulsion comes from kicking not that important, really just helps with body rotation and breathing. Concentrate on your stroke technique. I do private lessons, but I work in Dalkey, which is a bit too far out.

Yo man, how much do you charge per session? Also, what kind of times do you have available?

I can swim, have no fear of water etc, just would like to improve.

Interested in lesson in dalkey btw.

    Hi

I'm based in the Lucan area and am in search of 1 to 1 swimming lessons. I'm more than a "beginner" and would classify myself as an "intermediate" swimmer, where I can do the front crawl and back stroke within my depth. I have attended group swimming lessons at different times over the past few years, which has gone a long way to improving my technique and confidence. However I have come to the conclusion that the only way I will take things to the next level of being able to breath, and swim / thread out of my depth, I will need 1 to 1 lessons, where the instructor gets into the water with me when in the deep end.

Can anyone recommend 1 to 1 swimming instructors in the general West Dublin region?

    Cheers!
