Ok, We are considering changing to an A4 this week, It will be a 2011 A4 with the S-line package. Any advice what i should be looking for in terms of spec and what model dose the s line package come on.

Would prefer to sell my car private, as would only get around 10,000 for my 2008 Auris as a trade in.

    This is the car

S-Line exterior pack can be added to any model A4. It's €1,275 on the base model or €750 on the SE or Sport models. Really depends on what you want to spend as to which car to put it on.

Personally, I'd go for the Sport to get the Xenon Headlights - looks a bit wrong to have the S-Line pack with standard lights IMHO. I'd also add the Bluetooth for €415.

Shame you didn't do it last year - Audi were doing a special on the full interior and exterior pack. Interior pack is very nice, and it was only about €1,300 quid for that. Interior S-Line now is around €3,000

Do the Xenon lights come with the LED DRLs as standard? The shine has been taken off the LEDs with all the current misuse of them on skangermobiles all round the county. Only my opinion of course.

Apart from the LEDs/Xenons I'd be going for the Sport also

Are the Irish models still coming with brownscale screens as opposed to the UK's colour ones?

Crappy Red screen on the base and Sport, Colour on the SE. It's only €160 on the Base and Sport and makes a massive difference to the interior - I'd definately spec that if I remember!

LED DRL's only come with the Xenon's, but you can turn them off if you don't like them. I agree that there are some dodgy looking aftermarket ones around, but I really like the Audi ones.

Cheers for the replys guys, think he went for the base model with the S-Line kit, but got the blue tooth and a few other extras like mudflaps boot mat, i-pod cable etc for around 36,000 so im guessing thats the base model, Whats the brown scale screen? Is it the dash

Don't take this the wrong way but I'd start first by taking more pictures of the car you are selling, internal and side photos need to be taken, hard to say if it has alloys or not, I am presuming it's not seeing as you havn't mentioned it your ad. Go with the full amount Donedeal allows, will be far more likely to get someone to view the car.

You might want to adjust the price also. My local Toyota dealer is asking €11950 for a similar car with lower mileage. If I were buying straight with no trade-in I would probably buy it for under €11k and still get a 12 month warranty with it so I cannot see anyone buying one privately with no warranty for similar or more money.

+1 Take more pictures, do it on a cloudy, dry day and try to fill the frame with the car. There is a big trailer in the main photo which draws the attention away from your car, get rid of it i.e. move your car. The whole top half of the main photo is sky, get more of your car into the frame. If there is a warehouse on one side as there is with your photos, turn the car around and take pictures of the other side with no distracting imagery, go to a Lidl or Aldi car park on a quiet time of the day or find an open industrial estate in the evening or weekend.

Ok i have adjusted the price now to 11,000 O.N.O...If all comes to fail we will trade the car in as the deal should be completed this week.

Straighten your steering wheel as well. It looks bad that way when the wheels are straight in the picture.
