Hi we're thinking of going to tuscany, Italy end of June early July. Campsite we have in mind is Albatros as we are flying into Pisa & dont want to be driving too far.
Has anyone holidayed in this area around this time, average temp ranges alot on different websites & am wondering will it be too hot for kids (3-12) seeing as they're used to sunny Ireland
If anyone has being to this campsite would be great to hear what they thought of it or any campsites near here (recommendations welcome)
    Cheers

I've come back from Pisa a few days ago after spending 9 days in Tuscany and 9 days in Naples/Rome.

The weather in Pisa is meant to be pretty damn hot in summer time, the Pisa folks were going around in scarves, jackets and hats and it was a nice 10C sunny day with very light wind. The guys I was working with said the humidity is stiffling in summer, for what that's worth.

If I were to recommend Italy to Irish people I'd recommend Feb/March - the off season. The tourist attractions aren't rammed with people and the weather is lovely.

Yeah that what I was thinking, am really starting to wonder if we should go to Italy at all!! But have been really wanting to go for years & have overdone France at this stage.

Would love to but with school holidays, we were already taking them out a week before they finish which I know the school's not going to be happy about.

Back to the drawing board I'm thinking, amyone out there recommend a nice campsite or reasonably priced villa somewhere different to France or Spain weather sunny but not too hot around this time & that suits kids..

If you were staying in a rental apartment it might be doable as you would just avoid going outside in the midday heat. It would still be hot for the rest of the day and night for that matter but it's more bearable. It would be more expensive than a campsite but I don't think being on a campsite with kids in +40 degrees would be the most pleasant holiday!
