I have bought spokes for a Mavic Elite from Cyclesuperstore. You will need to remove the rim eyelet to allow you to insert the new spoke nipple, the best tool is this:- http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=18081 other than that replacement is easy.

    Best way to do it
You need a magnet a small piece of a spoke from the threaded end, screw that into the nipple when you remove the broken spoke , when putting the new spoke in you may push the nipple into the rim, thats where you ll need the magnet to align the nipple again

this is the process for spokes with hidden nipple, i think the ssc sl has them ?

If you do change the spoke yourself, you cant just right away and tighten the new spoke up you have to loosen the 2 spokes around it and then retighten them all back up to true the wheel

thanks for that, i took it down to the bikeshop today unfortunately he dident have the correct spoke:mad: but the mechanic took the broken spoke out in a second.
basically just turned it anti clockwise at the nipple ,and he said it replaced the same way only other way round:rolleyes:
so now i'm on the hunt for a spoke ,i will try the cycle shop in navan tomorrow if not i'll get it from the site lumen recommended.
    anyway thanks all great help.
