What do they do? What are they used for? Am I right to assume they effect semi-auto fire (Make it more responsive?)

I havnt seen or heard of any that come with standard, I know you can buy the trigger switch wiring set complete (Online) so you just do a straight swap out (for those of us who cant solder). What they are like after installed I dont know (Yet ;)).

The JG AUG A3 comes with a Mosfet fitted as standard
I have fitted several of these Mosfets from Mid West Airsoft which also has an integral mini blade fuse fitted as standard to the unit

Does that cut out the need for the big fuse in M4's?

So does that then act as a fuse and mosfet?

That looks like its ready for install, is there no soldering involved? or do you still need to run a wire from trigger switch etc?

It needs some soldering inside a V2 gearbox
It is easier on a front wired V2 gearbox but the box still has to be opened
On a V3 gearbox it can be done without opening the gearbox but soldering is required

Another neat site which hi-lights other fun things
    when it comes to mosfets:
    http://unconventional-airsoft.com/webstore/

This lad makes add-on accessories for his mosfet kits
The magazine detect sensor is nifty
The sniper lock out thing it a mad yoke
And the "forward assist" accessory is a lovely idea for people in country's that only allow semi.
