Actually got FF calling to my door today, lovely elderly gentleman I have to say! He was canvassing for James Carroll, I told him very politely that I would not be voting FF and he didnt push the issue which I respected. Only thing that annoyed me was that he told me that Mr Carroll was a local man - I live in Ardee, he is from Monasterboice!! When I pointed this out, he said - sure hasnt he an office here so hes local! I told him he was flogging a dead horse and he left.

My own opinion is that none of the canidates are worth a vote, its a poisoned chalice to whoever takes over, dont believe any of the main parties can suddenly wave a magic wand and make everything better.......but thats another thread.............

Good one killer pigeon , I didn't get one so I think i will have to use another party seeing as they rubbed us in the ****. I did get a leaflet from some guy scuttling away after putting in a leaflet saying sorry I missed you !!
I think they are afraid of being spat at. the cheek of michael martin saying we made a few mistakes. that guy needs a serious thump. but you know some Irish people are so thick that they would vote for them again. iTS TRUE WHEN THEY SAY WE GET THE GOVT WE DESERVE.

Dermot Ahern was around here at the last election, his cronies chatted me up then he came over and shook my hand and said "I hope I can count on your support." I said "How many candidates are standing here this year?" he replied "9" and I smiled and said "Well you've got a 9th preference here." We were still shaking hands at the time (like mr shake-hands-man from Banzai) and his face just dropped. I was so proud. :P

What I can't understand is why they'd give them 23 or 24!

Do people not realise that you can leave a candidate blank?

Yeah I got this in the other day as well but my one circular in shape and not square. I wasnt sure what the hell it was meant to be. Breathnach seems to being putting a lot of money into this campaign.

See in the paper there was a bit of territory war going on with his fellow FF candidate.

Well the idea of the 23 & 24 is to let them know you wan't to humiliate them!
If you don't let them know they'll assume you'll give them a vote in the usual top 3..
