    Hi,
    Just wondering If 3 Ireland charge for using tethering on your iPhone 4?

    Nope. Data is data, so you can tether and once 4.3 comes out use it as a wi-fi hotspot and it all comes from your data allowance.

    it is carrier dependent. some charge, others don't. meteor don't, not sure about the others.

    I'm with 3, factory unlocked running 4.3.3, you should see it under Settings-->Personal Hotspot.

    Otherwise you can download MyWi in Cydia...but you probably already knew that.

    You can install it and use your regular data allowance without being charged a tethering fee or having to purchase a tethering package. I know o2 prepay don't allow you to use your data for tethering so it's a nice workaround.

    MyWi costs $9.99, but Google it for more info.

    There's a free trial version available in Cydia. I bought the full licence last year, a brilliant app, though haven't used it much since Personal Hotspot came out.
