    Hi there,
I have accepted an offer to work with EY starting august 27th. Unfortunately, I'm not in the position to have fun dossing for the summer before this date, and need a summer job. I graduate college in late May so the timing would be perfect.

Is it possible/common for graduates to begin their contract with the internship class that starts in june?

I emailed the generic HR email address in january but my email was ignored.

all feedback would b greatly appreciated

    Hi technoviking,

Yes it is possible to start working a bit earlier depending if they are busy and need extra help in the office around the summer, but your official trainee contract won't begin until August. I myself started a few months ahead of our intake and then began my official induction and training along with the rest in Sept. I'd say give them a ring and fire off your cv again, and let them know you're available and interested in starting a bit earlier. Best of luck.

I know of people who were in a similar situation and were facilitated with summer work prior to starting their official training contract in late October. (albeit in another Big 4 firm)

I think you will take part in an induction outside of Ernst and Young HQ for the first 2 weeks in August. I think last year it was in Mullingar.

Ok, I though induction was in London cause they were taken over by the UK firm.

    My contract began in July.
A CAI training contract can be started anytime between July and November iirc.

However, HR may not wish to have a unique employee amongst 2,000 easily managed clones.

OP, simply ask them. Phone, dont email.
