UK Banned no network

    Hi im looking at buying a used iphone and and have seen some on ebay stating that they wont work in the uk but will abroad, will they work in Ireland or is this just a con to get you to buy? Any help would be appreciated.

    They won't work in the UK because they have been robbed an the UK networks have banned the imei

    If the IMEI is banned,
    1. its illegal to change it.
    2. i wont work in the EU

    If it has only been blocked in uk it should work in Ireland. You won't be able to roam in uk though. If it has eu blocks then it won't work.
    Worth paying 2.50 euro for a report on phone.

    This will tell you if the phone has been reported as stolen and what countries it is blocked in.
