As the title says , have you seen or heard anything in the past 2 weeks of the Electoral Campaign that has made you change your mind / vote ?

I'm just interested to see if there is a change in the general mood of things ?

    Possibly.

FG's proposals to bail out people with a mortgage who bought homes, but not bail out people who simply bought within their means having saved up, is yet another example of rewarding people who were careless* and punishing those who were sensible.

    * Not tarring everyone in difficulty with that brush, considering job losses and extra taxes, but that will be the end result.

I didn't like gilmore coming out today saying no cuts to child benefit so thats got me thinking again.

At first I had planned to vote FG,but now I'm not as certain.I think the lack of emphasis on political reform by the main parties is slightly worrying. The only thing I know for sure is that I'll be tactically voting FF out of seats and probably giving an independant or 2 a high vote.

Personally I'm still in the same mind set .

    I wish I could have a fresh faced , proper policy , dynamic party to vote for , but I don't .

I wish I could wake up in the morning to no FF , FG , Labour tired out exhausted spin , but I can't .

I will vote of course but it's painful .

Independents have my ear at present but so does a single party Govt .

Help somebody please step out of the darkness and give Ireland what it needs .... A breath of fresh air .

    /just woke up .

    That'll be me as well.
I think FG govt without Labour would be best at this time (even though I'd want less objectionable people like Varadkar to be softened), for both the country and the left in the Dail. Strong left opposition inc SF and ULA and build on that.
I also want strong independents elected no matter their colours once they are not gombeens and crooks like Healy-Rae or Lowry or of the FF gene/cess pool
I don't want FF to be anyway high up in numbers in opposition because they bring absolutely nothing to good governance or good opposition.

1.Not quite in the last fortnight I know , but was VERY dissapointed after seeing Joan Burtons *performance* on Vincent browne. Certainly made me reconsider my vote iykwim.

2.Was never a big fan of Gilmore. Always felt his dail performances were just that-performances-The absence of any dail debate in the past 2 weeks would bear that out. He's very good when on the offence.....
    (prefer P.Rabbitte-)

Having said all of that, I am HORRIFIED at tomorrows poll figures for Labour...truly awful and they must be getting very very scared...........

I haven't necessarily changed who I'm voting for, but think I've changed the order in which I'm voting. Think I'll be giving a preference to all the Independents in the constituency which is something I hadnt planned to do two weeks ago. Think there is only about 4 candidates who I'm not giving a preference to (FF, GP, Christian Solidarity Party). So still slightly undecided as to the preference order i'm going to use. Tbh, think i wont be sure until i'm standing in the polling booth.

Havn't changed who I'll be giving votes to, but the order is changing around a fair bit.

I didnt know how I was going to vote two weeks ago. But I have decided on my first two preferences - labour and an indepentant. I will be voting tactically as well to destroy FF. So after my first two I think I will be voting FG. Then SF. Then the rest of the independants.

Yeah Labour have lost my vote in last 2 weeks. They are running a poor campaign and are pretending they have no connection (or funding) with the unions.

I'm still giving FG my 1 & 2 but Labours antics over the last few days means I havent decided whether to give them by 3.

FG have lost any preference from me. They started as my 3, 4, 5, then slipped to 5, 6, 7. After their manifesto came out I decided I couldn't give them any support. Conversely, an Independent moved up to my number 4 slot due to his honest looking website and videos.

The campaign has turned me away from Fine Gael entirely. It's confirmed the lack of creativity and competence among their policy makers that I'd hoped didn't exist.

A vote for Fine Gael is a vote for Fianna Fáil's policies inexpertly executed.
