Don't know where ya got that from!!
Two of the best pointers i've seen working were both bitches, and i find bitches are easier to train than dogs, mainly because they mature quicker!

my neighbour has 2 german pointers, a dog and a bitch, the bitch is be far the best dog, one of the best dogs in the whole area, he has got a load of offers for her, she had a litter of pups and they all sold the first week the were born, the dog he has is good but not a patch on the bitch

I have a gsp bitch who is 15 months now, working very well. Very keen and no problem with heavy cover. Haven't stalked with her yet but she has tracked two deer for me that went into thick goarse after been chest shot. Got her off a chap in Portarlington, by the name of Ken. I believe he has just set up as a breeder. Great dogs

Pm for details if you like
