With FG not likely to get to an overall majority there is the potential of Labour and Fianna Fail and Sinn Fein plus lots of indos forming a coalition. Why do I think thats possible.

Labour being the largest party would get the numero uno slot which would be a big incentive for them.

SF get into Government for the first time here which would be a triumph for them.

FF just get to stay close to power which is all they really want.

and with all the indos every town / village / crossroads gets a bypass

do you really think SF or Lab will want to join FF under any circumstances

do you really think anyone will want to be associated with FF

    The coalition of the losers?

The country wouldnt stand for it, even if it were mathmatically possible.

There policies are miles apart, far too many differences for it to be workable. Not to mention Labour and SF core member would be disgusted and I think a lot of Labour TD's would walk as well.

Even if they did somehow cobble something like this together, it would be pushing it to think such an ragbag could last more than a couple of weeks. Among their fist tasks would be setting the date for the next election.

FF would not get into bed with SF, no matter what the anti FF brigade think about FF wanting power at any cost, thats in yer head.

Would likely collapse within a few months even if they had the numbers

Hilarious can you imagine the horror of the front bench alone?

    Not.A.Runner.

Would probably lead to FG getting 90+ seats in the next election in 3 month's time.

What will kick start this coalition? Frankenstein needed a bolt of lightning.

What will kick start this coalition? Frankenstein needed a bolt of lightning.

Combined desperation, Labour just want to be in power, FF believe they should always be in power and Sinn Fein would view it as a stepping stone to Gerry Adams president of Ireland 2016 and one party rule by centenary of the 1937 Constitution.

This is a thread from p.ie

FG secret research has party on 72 seats, Lab on 36, FF on 27 and SF on 13

That gives Frankenstein 76 with 18 others its well doable

Cant see labour wanting to get into bed with fianna fail or even sinn fein.

Cant see fianna fail wanting to be a minority party in government. Theyll want to have numbers in opposition from which to bounce back from after the next government which will have to make lots of very unpopular decisions.
