Anyone else think the mid-season startups are pretty poor so far?

I don't think much of Episodes, Mad Love, Criminal Minds Suspect Behaviour, Outcasts, Chicago Code or Mr. Sunshine.

I'll give Chicago Code and CMSB a few more episodes.

I'm Sky+ing Outcasts, and will watch the thread here to see if it picks up in any way, or if it is going to crawl to the end of its life at the speed of the episodes I've watched (i.e. very slowly).

On the plus side, I really like Fairly Legal (it's good fun, has a great lead actress and the stories are pretty original). I also like Onion News Network, which appeals to my sense of humour.

Shows coming up that I'll be trying out are Silk (BBC1 Tuesday), and The Killing (April 3rd)

Has anything slipped past my radar that I should be watching?

    It's pretty damn dreary alright...!

Nothing midseason has made it's way to my regular viewing bar 'Episodes'... and it went all the way from being poor to promising to damn decent to horribly contrived. All in the course of 6 episodes!

Haven't got a chance of watch 'Chicago Code' yet. Have given up on 'Outcasts' after 40 minutes or so. Mr. Sunshine's first episode was horrid.

'Onion News Network' is "decent" but two problems - they could have picked a far better anchor-woman and I find it has the same problem as the 'Funny Or Die' series - it works best in brief sketches but 30 minutes just seems to stretch thin.

I've high hopes for 'The Killing' though.

Did anyone else find that the trailer for Mr Sunshine had all the funniest bits from the first episode? I just gave up after that.

I want to defend Outcasts - it's a little slow paced, but I really don't think that's a bad thing. I'm quite enjoying the way it is developing and really think it would be a pity if it got cancelled.
