What is the video for? Basically bands are a sound engineering nightmare as many play 1) To loud 2) Insist they know best 3) Don't want to route through a sound desk

You would be better off getting a proper video camera from someone. The bass and sheer loudness will knock the mic on the iPhone for six. If you could route through a sound desk, you'll have a much better quality mix. Basically comes down to how good you want the final product.
