I failed 2 of my exams. one of them has RE beside it and the other just has an F. i no RE means i jus repeat the exam but does F mean the same or what? could i repeat the continuous assessment with a F or is it jus the exam? Oh and does anyone know how much it costs to repeat a exam?

What percentages did you get for each one?

It cost €190 to repeat exams I believe, no mattter how many you failed you only have to pay the one sum.

i got 33 in 1 and 38 in the other. dont think theres anyway of using compensation because i failed two. think it only works if u fail 1.

Friend of mine passed 2 by compensation last summer, didn't think it was possible but apparently so :P

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

You can compensate 2. You're allowed fail 10 credits worth of exams. I know this because I failed two 5 credit modules and got them compensated last Summer.

Arrange to meet with your lecturers and see if you can get them bumped up a bit. If you can get that 33 to 35 you could be in with a chance (providing both fails are 5 credit modules) of compensating in the Summer if you pass everything else.

You can try and better your chances if you can get that 38 bumped up to a pass.

Just for the record cos it has been asked before. You don't need to pass both areas of assessment to pass the module - you only need to attain 40% between the two. Failed the exam miserably but my essay score brought me up to a pass.
