Tomorrow I'm going to be going from Heuston Station to the RDS and need some bus information.
1.How much are one way bus tickets in Dublin?
2.Can I buy a 1 day city rambler ticket in heuston station and if not where?

    Thank You.

Tomorrow I'm going to be going from Heuston Station to the RDS and need some bus information.
Get a tram (€1.50) to Abbey Street or get any bus (€1.20) to O'Connell Bridge and then a number 4, 5, 7/a (stop is on the bridge) to Ballsbridge (€1.60). http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/?searchtype=place&searchquery=RDS+Ballsbridge Alternatively, you can get an Irish Rail ticket from your point of origin to Lansdowne Road (station code 188) - just make sure it includes the Luas / bus transfer or you will have to pay for each individually.

    It varies by distance.

    http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Fares--Tickets/Fare-Information/
    http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Fares--Tickets/Fare-Information/Fares/
Calculate the number of stages at the bottom of the timetable http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Your-Journey1/Timetables/All-Timetables/7/

    75 O'Connell St.
    Less 70 Ballsbridge (Anglesea Rd.)
    = 5 stages
    = €1.60
2.Can I buy a 1 day city rambler ticket in heuston station and if not where?
Rambler 1 Day Adult €6.00 http://www.dublinbus.ie/en/Fares--Tickets/Tickets/2-Journey-Daily-Weekly/ You can't buy them in the station  but you can get them in Londis Top Shop, 35 Parkgate Street - directly across the river.

Im not sure if you can buy bus tickets at heuston. But you can get the 145 to Dolier st for €1.20 and get the no.7 or no.4 on O'Connoll bridge to the R.D.S for €1.65 exact fare coin only. Rambler tickets can be bought in most newsagents.

You could always get the 145 as far as Donnybrook Church, and walk ~ 10 minutes up Anglesea road and you'll come to the RDS. Saves you from changing buses, so you'll only have to pay the one fare (and the same again for the return).
