Going to look at one tommorrow, 93 with 110k miles, full service history, new clutch just fitted and 2 owners from new, uk import originally but has been in Dublin for the last 8 years. What should i look out for?? This wont be a daily driver weekends only. Obviously i will check for any previous damage etc but ideally would like to know what to look out for mechanicly. Car history report shows no accident history and mileage is spot on. If all checks out ok i can have her on the road with 17 months test and 2 months tax for 3k, does this sound ok??
    Any advice appreciated

seems a very good price for anm3 as you said look for any crash damage, also worth a check around the rear wheel arches as they are prone to some rust from age,the usual make sure everying works windows sun roof ect as they can be costley to get fixed if they go wrong, any noises or rattles when driving it it also, but as you said its got fsh so should be well maintained

Check the RTAB. And all the suspension parts really. Rear shock mounts included. Listen for ticking in the engine if it has vanos. Can be seen as a bulge on the front of the engine. And look over the cooling system since they are not the greatest in them.

is it the 3 ltr or the evo? The evo is a fiddly thing to service and a softer engine

The only thing I would want to avoid about the evo is the dual vanos. And that's only if it is ticking.

Nice car for 3k..Good luck with that, FSH is nice as long as it is not an ebay purchased service book with Micky mouse stamps on it.
