    A3 pricelist is here:

    http://www.audi.ie/etc/medialib/ngw/ie/product_guides.Par.0040.File.pdf/product_guide_a3_my11.pdf

Audi dont offer any additional scrappage support to government scrappage so its just the 1250 that you would qualify for.

Surely a good discount to be had though as in effect they would be buying straight.

I'd be expecting a fairly decent discount off a new A3, they are really showing their age being around since 2003. A proper new A3 must be just around the corner?

While what you say may be true, I have seen plenty of them around so it must not be putting too many punters off.

Why would you buy an A3 anyway OP? Apart from the Audi badge it's got very little going for it when compared to the new Focus, Golf, Astra, Giulietta and even the Citroen DS3. It's an eight year old design with little tangible to offer over it's rivals. Maybe you like Audis but there's no value to be had in buying a new one.
