Windows 7 Starter

    Netbook Hard drive has gone bust, along with recovery partition. Anywhere I can buy a copy of Windows 7 Starter?

    Surely there's a license sticker on the bottom of the netbook? You might have to ring up microsoft when you're reinstalling the OS and explain the problem.

    Yep there is a licence sticker/code. Problem is, i have no cd to reinstall with!

    Download windows 7 from Microsoft to another PC & create a bootable USB stick with installation files on it. Follow these instructions here to install. Once installed on your PC ring microsoft with the licence details to activate windows 7.
