Recycling CD's

I'm having a clear out and I'm getting rid of a pile of CD's. They're not actual albums or anything so I can't give them to charity shops. They're just blank ones that I put stuff on myself over the years and they're all scratched and useless now. Anyway, I was about to throw them all in the bin but I felt bad about it because I thought surely there's a way to reuse them?

    Anybody got any ideas?

They can be very useful as bird scarers if you hang them in your vegetable patch. I think some recycling centres deal with them too.

+1 Great bird scarers when hung over crops. My neighbour thought I had lost the plot when I started using them a few years ago. Now she just enjoys the fresh veg..:)

As for recycling they are made from polycarbonate and its not one of the main recycleables.

Well I live in a housing estate in the middle of the city, so the vegetable patch thing isn't really an issue for me. :D

I checked the county council recycling website but it lists nothing for CD's.

    Thanks for the advice anyway.
