insurance question

    is it possible for me to go under my fathers name on my car even thou he is insured on a different car ?

    I would suggest you call an insurance broker to know for sure but I think it is possible, I insure my car and then insured my girlfriend's car as a second car and put her down as a named driver on the second car policy it's what they call in the insurance world a ' shadow policy' of your car policy so i think what your talking about is something similar.....oh I should add ....if my memory serves me correctly 'your' car needs to be in your fathers name also.

    Only the person who owns the car can insure it in their name
