Probably should be in the playstation forum but I reckon more people have the headset for cod here. Anyway last night the sound went from one of the ear cups.. It would work when I held the wire a certain way or gave it a shake but it would off again.. I hadnt stepped on it or anything and theres no sign of damage on it. Its the left cup where the microphone thing is.
Has anyone else had this problem?? Any ideas on how to fix it??
Dont think I have my receipt for it!:(

Gently pull off the foam padding, and unscrew the screws (or just shake the headset as I did and they fell out ). Check that the speaker is glued properly to the frame and that all the wires aren't cut or anything

Edit, the warranty is only 3 months on it so chances are you're out of warranty anyways.

I gave this ago.. All the wires looked ok. When I played around with the black wire going in to it it popped on and off, so while it was on I held it in that position and screamed for some tape.:D So far so good only thing is it looks ugly now as it has white tape around the cup of it:rolleyes:, better than paying money to get it fixed or having an excuse to buy a newer better one I suppose!:D

I have X31s and had a prob with the headphones. Spent fookin ages online reading forums etc. Apparently, if you put the plug connection that is a 90 degree angle into the headset part, it doesn't work properly (which is what happened to me - assumed both ends were identical). All I know is, since I swapped the connections and double-checked the plugs were pushed fully in, worked a treat!
