OK, so 2 years ago I had some interviews with a company, they were successfull and wanted to hire me, as i was in the process of another interview and this was also successfull - I turned them down, but they were very understanding and professional etc..

Now I am on the job market again and would like to send this company my CV, how can I best mention in the cover letter that I have already interviewed with them?

I was thinking of just dropping it in like "Two years ago I did interview with you.." - but that could lead to an immediate dismissal of the application as
they may think I had been refused ?

So should I just mention outright that I did interview with them - successfully, but due to other offers I declined at the time ?

It could be an advantage that I did successfully interview with them,
but I could have burnt bridges.

Could you not contact whoever interviewed you/made the offer directly? An informal chat with the right person does far more than a (speculative?) CV ever does.
