GT5 remote race

its a cool new feature in 1.06 update, ya have to set a driver to share with friends and then go to community and select remote race from your profile

from there ya can pick a race and add friends to it or do it from a pc go across to enter server standby mode

go to gran-turismo.com and sign in by clickging my gt5 home on the top right
click on the remote race banner and your good to go
check on your driver from the main menu from time to time cos if someone put him in a race he might have winnings and xp to collect, just view the driver and theres a new icon for receive prizes

You must have your ps3 runnimg too, its a bit pointless if you ask me and polyphony already stated that xp received wont be adding to your B-spec lvl.

I read it somewhere and try it for your-self. If the ps3 isnt in the online server mode in GT5( PS3 running with GT5 on while connected online), youll get this when trying to do it on your pc:

In order to control Remote Races from this page, you will need to run Gran Turismo 5 on a PS3™ system with an Internet connection, and start the remote screen by selecting "Server Standby Mode" from the Remote Race screen on the My Home page.

dont believe everything ya read, a friend did 2 races and went from level 4 to 7 in B spec
i was sitting beside him when he did it

ha i've being running them in races all day, i have 3 of your drivers in a nascar race at the moment

Ive been racing two of your drivers tonight too. The xp the drivers earn per race is great, flying through the levels on b spec now.

Been away from GT5 for a few dyas, cant wait to push my driver up a bit in B-Spec

Good feature IMO.

only if ya want to host the races, as long as your B spec drivers are set to online, any of your friends can run them in races and ya get credit and xp
i have 6 drivers and all of them had over 100k in credits and 30-40k xp each over about 15 hours

Can someone explain this a bit more? No idea what is meant by remote race.

It seems like you share drivers with friends, and then others can run virtual races on some site and everyone gets levelled up? Or have I missed the point completely?

Just bought a PS3 and planning on picking up GT5 soon.

Exactly but you get to keep your driver you only change there status in game to share online( they cant be used in game if they are shared though)

It helps out lower lvled B-specs but when your in the high 30's lvl (max lvl is 40) its pointless

it still is worth it for the xp, with the right friends i'd say ya could get 1 million a day in credits

In case you were wondering the little lights displayed beside the driver are an indicator of how much money they've earned.

One light: 1-49,999 Credits
Two lights: 50,000-199,999 Credits
Three lights: > 200,000 Credits
