I'm planning to take the plunge to see what the all the hysteria is about, start with some small projects and work my way up and up, looks like a decent hobby to be honest.

I'm just wondering , if I buy once on my main pc, can I also install on my laptop, or is it seperate licnese for each use?

Cheers guys, and any kinda " Noob minecraft" material anyone has I'd be itnerested in reading, no idea about the game, other then my mates are craving over it. :)

It's a stand alone Java app so you can play it anywhere in the world as many times as you like

Even from the browser itself... very dangerous if your in work :pac:

Best thing to do is to jump straight onto a server, ours if you like, and have a look around at the stuff you can make and the guys will show you how to do things like crafting and tips/tricks

There is an in-game chat function when you press T which everyone uses so its good crack too and not too much of a lonely game :)

O cool so like I'm buying the app and can use it on any machine?
    Sounds awesome

Ingame chat is also a winner.

Will give this a checkout later, thanks for the offer for having a look at your server, that sounds like a brilliant idea.

Was following the other thread marvelling at the things people have built? do I need to request access or is it a public server?

If the addiction is anything like I've heard its right up my street...the street to packing in the job and the misses for the heralds of fun

Once you buy it, you can play it in the browser or download a launcher for it. You can use it on multiple computers, but you may need to transfer your save files if your playing singleplayer.

Edit: Oops, Tallon already told you.

Appreciated, will get that for you when I get home, will have a quick read through the many pages of your thread aswell, is there a " in a nutshell" list/post for **** that you SHOULD NOT DO and will get you banned?

Have to say more I read about this game, the more I'm dying to get home and get messing around to learn how to get building, looks really creative and rewarding.

Doc, ypu play wow? So mc will work same way, you got your account, so you can log in with in from any machine. Same as wow, but mc is so small that it can be played even in browser.

As for game itself, i allready wrote it in " first " thread for you ;)

And yeah, simce i got mc, i log in to wow only once a week for 2h max. It will happen to you too ;).

If you enkoyed lego in childhood, then you will love mc.

Beuty of mc is its sandbox model. There are thousands of servers. Some of them have mmo style rulles. For example: honorcraft, there you got your cities where you can buy plot and biuld on it. It will be protected. Then players can choose theyr role in sociaty, they can be merchants politics or architects. When some people high enouth rank, they can biuld theyr own cities witj atractions and sell land to ather players!!!

Or you can join server like tallons, where you get all the freedom of construction, you can get block easily and not be distracted by gathering materials. Its just a freedom for architect.

As i said, minecraft is amazing platfrom for games to be made. Or you can just biuld biuld biuld!

Sorry for misspelling as i use my phone, damm electricity gpne at home :( waiting for esb guys :(

you can play classic minecraft for free. It's just building I think. Go to minecraft.net, and on the right hand side it says "
Play Minecraft Classic (Outdated, but free):" Just click either single or multiplayer and it'll bring you to the game in browser.

If you have registered on the site www.minecraft.net then you can download and play the single player for free

You won't be able to click onto multiplayer until you pay for the full game though

I'd highly recommend buying it now as you get all updates for free and the price will be going up again soon

I think I've picked the hang of this quick enough, built a little house with a trap door entrance.

The pcs in work are sluggish but playing t well enough and one of the lads said in here its a cool trianing/practice/learning tool but the real one is alot better.

I've gathered a little crowd watching me make my house haha, no idea how to make a roof though :D

But definitly giving this a bash when I get home :D Downtime between wow raids shall be building...massive willies made of bricks!
