Have you tried river Island, Lipsy, Zara, Oasis, or New look? Usually find great stuff on the high street. It depends on your style. I always look in various places. Starting to prefer online shopping myself, Modcloth and Mina are my current favourites.

OK. So, now it's just a matter of personal taste.

So I worked in River Island mens for a while, and their jeans are alright. If you like baggy fitting jeans you probably won't find anything hectic in there, but their bootcut is nice. I also think that their twisted leg jeans are really nice, and men tend to shy away from them because, frankly, they look weird on the hanger. They look good with a converse-type shoe - i.e. not runners, not boots. They can have some great shirts too, but you might face the scenario of someone wearing the same thing as you on a night out, since their shirts are pretty popular. Still, there's less of a chance of it happening than when you're wearing Jack Jones!

H&M can be a bit loud and bright with its mens clothes but it can have some nice bits and bobs - belts, accessories, knitwear for example. Don't really rate their jeans; can't say firsthand what the men's ones are like but the girl's ones fit badly. My bf has never been hugely impressed either.

I've been really liking Zara's men's stuff lately; some lovely shirts and stuff and they're in really great colours. Think they're definitely worth a look, and Zara's pretty reasonable too. Only thing is, their men's sizes have a pretty small fit so be aware of that, and try stuff on!

Don't buy stuff for going out. Buy stuff because you like it and then wear it out.

    EDIT:
Sorry, that came across as a bit glib and I didn't intend that.
What I'm trying to get across is that you should dress to please yourself first and foremost rather then just going straight to the production line of the highstreet and being one of the sheeple. The only time you have to conform to a dress code is when a dress code is specified. Wear jeans, wear chinos, wear leather, wear moleskin, wear tartin with zips, wear boardies, wear shorts, wear brecks, wear Plus 4's, wear combats. Look around thourgh photographs and see bits that you like then go find them. Have a look at The Satorialist just to show you that you can wear whatever you like. (You might have to skip back a month or two as most of the recent postings are of catwalks). I'm not saying that you have to slaveishly follow something you see there, I just want to show you that range of styles different people wear and all of them are acceptable even if they are not to your tastes.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.
