driving along today and all of a sudden all i hear is silence within the car. couldnt put my finger on it for a few seconds until i look at the centre console and see that the fan switch is up full but there is no fan whirring.

got to my destination about 5 minutes down the road and turned the car off and on again (i'm a computer guy had to try it at least :o) and turned the fan off and on again but still no luck. could this be caused by a fuse blowing in the car or is there something else at fault? if, more than likely, it sounds like a fuse issue i can have a whack at changing them myself as i know where the 2 fuse boards are in the car but if it sounds like an electrical issue with the fan or the fan component giving up the ghost then i'll have to have it fixed and wont bother with the fuses.

or will i try the fuses first then go get it looked at?

car is a 02 punto of which i have heard there is a lot of electrical issue with but i havent come across anything major in the past.

    thanks for any reply.

    Are you kidding?
Instead of starting thread, just look at the fuses. If blown, replace.

seeing as i know next to nothing about cars i'd prefer to get advice off of people who know what they are talking about and can refer me in the right direction.

if that isn't possible here then i will take my leave.

    Thanks Esel.

Sorry I bothered replying to your overdrive thread now, tbh. Instead of starting thread, just play with the switch, or RTFM.

I just think the OP knows what to do and has asked the question and answered it in the same post and the only answer to his question is 'Yes. Do that'. I dont see what the reason for starting a thread about it but I guess thats not for me to decide.
    Apologies OP.

    Esel,
Im very sorry that you regret answering my overdrive question.
