There are a number of companies who specialize in leak detection, costs vary from €200 to €700, shop around. It is possible to buy the equipment, it's expensive, and you do have to know what you're listening for, if i can be of ant further help let me know

EVS Water Management in Rathcoole can supply Ground Mics or Thermal imaging cameras but as these are expensive, it may be better to ask about their leak detection and repair service unless you expect you will get much more use from the kit.

Yeah it's best to shop around a bit as things vary quite a lot. I'd stay away from doing it yourself as it can cause more problems than what it's worth.
