Cardiograph? Sudden Cardiac Arrest symptoms

    Hey guys,

Im not looking for medical advice but I just want to hear about other peoples own experiences with above..

Mods please move me if not the right forum...

My boyfriend visited the doctor today as he has been suffering from dizziness, shortness of breath, mild chest pains and racing heart beat. He is 24yrs old, athletic, is very fit, albeit he'd drink a gud bit at weekend ( hasnt done so in months tho ) non smoker and wouldnt say no to a kebab or two.. what im saying is, he's very low risk for any heart problems ( one would assume )

The doc listened to my mans heart on the stethescope then told him he wanted to have blood tests done and a cardiograph? Told him he is not to play his match on Sunday and said to him " not to worry about takin an hour off work to go for tests because we dont want you dead now do we? " Thats all he told him before rushing him out of his office. We have no idea what a cradiograph or what exactly the tests are for or are going to rule out.

He's going for the tests on Mon but can anyone tell me are they familar with these type of tests and could it be something serious? I've googled it and im seeing stuff about sudden cardiac arrests in soccer players etc and im worried sick. We have a 1 year old together and i have all sorts going through my head.

    Thanks

Hi there. While I can empathise with your concern Im afraid what you are asking is beyond what we can give. The heart is something that effects different people differently and to that end, anything posted here would be purely speculative. One thing you can take some solace in is that if his doctor was overly concerned he would likely have said so.Thread close.
