Well after a bit of a dry couple of weeks I got this bigish calf this morning. I was at about 75m when I saw 2 together and they didn't seem to mind what was about them. So I took this one from kneeling.

Nice one Clive. Good big fella, I expect he'll have a good layer of fat when you skin him out. That let's treated you well.

Sako 75 varmint .308 with flutted barrel the laminated version but in the synthetic stock. I don't have a good photo of my rifle with it's laminated stock, so here's one from the Sako website.

This is what it looks like in the summer.

Here's my lads all ready and waiting.

Sako 75 .308 Bushnell 6-24x50, CZ .22lr style shown but now the varmint Bushnell 10x40 , Cz .223 varmint Bushnell 6-24x50.

    Hi Clive,

Do you mind me asking where you bought the synthetic stock?

The Sako stock came with the rifle, the dealer had sold on the laminated stock it should have came with.

    I got a laminated stock off e-bay ;104

    Not that i know.
I sanded out the barrel channel some more as it was touching a tad when I bought the rifle. I can get a folded euro banknote between the stock and barrel so it's floated OK.

It seems to work OK and groups well.
