Lucky for yous, he was average for us last season, had a couple of good games but wouldn't cut it for a Premier side who'll be challenging for the league.

Hope the guards and our stewards can do as good a job as the PSNI and Linfield stewards. I won't hold my breath though....

Ah Dundalk, Dundalk, Dundalk. Just as we'd re-established ourselves in the Premier Division things have just started to get a bit pear shaped again.

Last week our owner Gerry Matthews decided he wanted rid of the club. There were two offers on the table. One involving our former Financial Director Ciaran Bond and another from the DFC Trust (Fans of the club).

Today Ciaran Bond withdrew his offer meaning the DFC Trust are the only party left with an interest in the club. Matthews described Bond's withdrawal as "a devastating blow for Dundalk FC"

Matthews said he would not “let the club down” if a deal to take over the running of the business could not be found but he warned supporters that any possible future investments would be minimal if he stayed on as CEO, saying that the playing budget could be as low as €2-3k a week next season.

As well as that it's almost certain our manager Ian Foster won't be offered a new contract for next season. Gonna be a a messy few months ahead for the greatest football team this wonderful country has ever produced. I hae a horrible feeling the words, 'consortium', 'saviour' and 'Roddy Collins' are going to be bandied about this Winter. Ugh.
