So i'm looking for a simulation type game that will keep me occupied for a while

I've been around and played most of the big games

    - Black & White
    - Theme Hospital
    - Startopia
    - Football Manager
    - The Movies
    - The Sims
    - Tropico
    - Starcraft

    And countless more,

Can anyone reccomend a good in depth sim with building and the likes,

    What are your favorites?

    Thanks :D

its a great game very addictive..

    Online multiplayer too

Cities XL 2011. Now that they've got rid of the ridiculous MMO subscription model, it's the closest thing to SimCity in the absence of a new SimCity.

How is Civilization V not in your list? It's pretty much the definitive sim/rts available. It will also consume your soul.

I'd also recommend the Total War series, though they focuss much more on combat.

R.U.S.E is fairly decent if you like C&C and the like. Online multiplayer is supposed to be good on it too, haven't tried it myself yet.

    World in Conflict.

    (Sim/RTS)
Stronghold & Stronghold Crusader (forget everything else that comes after in the series)

This. Brilliant games. If you complete both games, go for Crusader Extreme for a really really unfair challenge!

Hearts of Iron III. Seriously hardcore.

[edit] Yes, Dave is retarded, that of course would be a turn based game... derp. Still pretty good.
