Is it possible to have a part time job and also get btea, if you are only attending college 3 to 4 days per week? if so, are you allowed to keep the btea and your wages?

and, are you entitled to any rent or travel allowance while on btea?

also, if I do a FAS course during the summer and gain a fetac qualification, will I still be eligible for BTEA when applying to do a fetac level 5/PLC course?

    thanks. :)

YES. as long as you go to college for the hours scheduled then you are free to work part time while on back to education allowance. i advise you not to skip classes to work.

YES. you are entitled to APPLY for them, however they have their own guidelines for acceptance.
I get BTEA + rent allowance.

YES. if your on BTEA, you can either sign on to job seekers allowance during the summer and then get BTEA when you return to college in september, OR you can inform them you will be working or abroad or doing a fas course etc and then when you return to college they will continue your BTEA.

What if I get a job, do I have to tell the employer I'm leaving in three months again for college? Could they stop the BTEA if I get a full time job and just end up quitting the job in August?

I don't know many employers will want me just for a couple of months.

no its not a problem. if you get a job be it part time or full time for the summer, it will hold nothing over you returning to BTEA in september.
