    Hi Lads,

I am thinking about changing my daily driver, at the moment I have a small clio 97 1.2.
I am very happy with my little car it does the job go to work and come back about 40km and it is cheap enough to run.

So obviously, I am looking at something which will be still cheap to run too.

It has to be 4 doors, I will have to drive a bride and a groom in it over the next summer.

Money wise as everybody, I don't want to go for too expensive so probably a budget around €1500 max (I know it is not much).

    I was thinking at a 316 E30, E36, mercedes E190 E200 (W123), or maybe a morris (4 door).

It basically as to be drivable on a day to day basis and be use for the big day.

Or the best will be to find a classic in good condition which does not need a NCT and a cheap tax. I could then have a bit more money on the car.

I am open to opinion really, I just need to keep an eye on the cash.

There is definitely cars out there which I never heard of.
    Thanks a lot.

    hi lads,

I made few on dondeal and I found a Ford Cortina which could do the job.

I like it because it does not look at all like the car of my childhood.

Does anyone of you own one of this car? What do you think about them as a daily driver?

I was also looking at mercedes, but I am afraid the engine size will be a serious killer in term of petrol.

Any help welcome to make my mind on this.
    cheers
