I share the same sentiments actually.

I did not receive this email. Is it possible for you to copy and paste the body of the email to this forum for those who did not receive it?

Is there something wrong with the emails? I haven't received one the SU in weeks now, you know their weekly ones.

Haven't gotten any from Collie this week. Wonder how many students are affected by it.

Collie sent this to me today
    **EXAM RESULTS TOMORROW AT 2PM**

So Registry have said exam results will be available to view on your portal
pages from around 2pm tomorrow. Hope everybody gets on brilliant! The SU
will be running an 'exam clinic' all day tomorrow for all students who wish
to speak about ANYTHING EXAM RELATED (appeals, extenuating circumstances,
lectures, modules, complaints, welfare issues etc) so pop in for a chat and
some tea if you are around the Hub.

Claire sent me this, linking to dcu's site about results
Results will be available from approximately 3pm on Thursday, 17th February on your Portal Pages. You will not receive a hard copy of your results, so print them off for your information. If you have successfully passed your examinations, well done, that’s great news. If, however, you have failed some modules or are disappointed with your results, here is what you should do:

    1. Contact the module lecturer (by email) and arrange to meet him/her during the official consultation days, which are February 21st – 25th. During these days, you can ask to see your paper / assignment and discuss it with your lecturer. This is crucial feedback and you should go well prepared and take good notes in order to improve your performance in the coming semester / repeat examinations.
    2. Once you have ascertained the reasons you did unwell, prepare a plan to improve your performance – you may need assistance with this or you may wish to find out where to go for help. Your lecturer can be a great source of information and you can also contact the Student Advice Centre (student.support@dcu.ie) if you need further/additional advice.
    3. If you feel that you should have gained a higher grade, discuss this with your lecturer. Appeals are normally not considered until after the Summer examinations. For further information on appeals, see: http://www.dcu.ie/registry/forms/pdfs/r31.pdf

Results usually come out a couple of hours before advertised. That has been my experience anyway.

I can't remember exact times - but roughly, yes from experience. Get in there early before the server gets too busy.

    I passed! :-)

It does, however, show that I got significantly higher marks on individual assessments than on group asssessments..

Passed :) Once again proving my theory that even at final year level lectures are a complete waste of time and you can do well without ever going to any. Well at least for business anyway ;). Hope everyone is happy!

failed one out of three. daaaaammmnnnn.

    ah well!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,525 ✭✭✭ION08

Passed all mine aswell, very happy.

For one particular module I got 69%. Is there anyway to get this bumped up to a 70% for a first?? .. not that it will make much difference to my average grade but would just look better

Maybe it depends on the subject area but I imagine they do look at marks on the verge and decide whether to tip them over or not. So I doubt you get far asking for a rise

When are the passlists available? There's a button on the portal page for them now but the page says they're not available.

Not until the second semester exams are up, unless you are a master student finishing this semester.
