    once again looking for wisdom.

my 96 1.8td mondeo has started smelling very diesely especially when hot around the engine bay, had a look today and see that theres diesel around the bottom of 2 of the injectors.

is this is a case of replacing them do ye think? someone said theres an overflow pipe or something like that running from the injectors and that might need to be tightened? havent a clue tbh, but dont fancy changing the injectors. I'd imagine thats not cheap.

anyone have experience of this, or any ideas on it.

    cheers.

I'd have a look at the leak back hoses first...if you give the engine a rev and move the leakback hoses you may see a leak.
if so then replace the hoses, most autofactors should have the hose and the usally sell what you need....:)
after that check the injector pipes (steel pipes)again when reving the engine.
