    Hey all,

I've just got a quick question, a friend of mine is doing a level 5 art course, in a community college. She's not really enjoying it and is considering dropping out.

The only problem is she's eligible and getting the full grant + maintenance, If she drops out now how will this affect her when she applies for a level 8 course next year(Sept 2011) and applies for a grant?

    Thanks all!

    yes it will affect her.

her best option is to contact them NOW, tell them the situation, and see if its possible for her to re-apply next year, but likely she will only get a small amount of money ( maybe the remainder of this years amount) and likely will not get her fee's paid for her.

only the vec office will provide an accurate answer.
