To cross fit or not,

    Hey folks
    Im not new to the world of keeping fit as iv played football most of my life, jog 3 times a week and train Muay thai from time to time,
    My question is when it come to putting muscel on in the gym should i just join a traditonal gym and train by myself or is cross fit type gym better for putting on muscel, im not talking about being a body builder but due to the sports i play iv always had a lean upper body and now want to bulk up on my arms and chest while staying slim, should i join a cross fit type gym or just a normal gym ,??
    Ayn help would be great,
