    Just a quick heads up. Matt Cooper(Today FM) is having a debate with Noonan, Burton and Lenihan after the 5.00pm news until 6.00pm.

    Could be good.

    So Lenihan admits we are totally at the mercy of the ECB. He also states that €30billion is not covered by the guarantee yet he cannot discount it because the ECB say no.

    In a small way I would have a certain sympathy with Lenihan. I sometimes think he would be better off if he was with FG.

    On a small aside, he is the only FF front bench person I have seen or heard on the airwaves recently. Granted, I was away for most of yesterday, but I think FF have thrown in the towel and right now Lenihan is attempting to justify his position. I think in the fullness of time he is waiting in the long grass for Martin.
