€4K and open to offers, thing is she's sales proof ticking all the boxes that scares the bejaysus out of most Irish buyers, Auto, 2.4 petrol, Ex-Taxi, 160K miles.

I know these things have a ropey HG and Autobox tho, what should i offer?

Given the 9 yeat rule that yoke may not be as sale proof as normal :)
I believe CV joints are hugely expensive and main dealer only too. In saying that I would think €3000 would buy it.

My dad had a manual one. He really like it. Was approached by several taxi drivers with offers during his ownership. Had no problem selling it (to a new to the business taxi driver in the end).

His was manual and got an absurd 44mpg.

Very much a non European look about them, more or less a yank tank. They have decent presence on the road. I'd quite fancy one for bangernomics but the neighbour has a 1997 one from new so wouldn't want the same car as him (retarded I know :pac: )

4k strikes me as rather expensive for an obscure, high engine capacity luxury saloon that will be saleproof when it becomes too old to be a taxi.

I don't understand, VB. I found you an utter bargain of an S80 D5 the other week and you seemed to ignore it. Are you really a Volvo fan at all

But even so, when's the time you're actually going to buy one?

Yeah, but he had the last few years as a taxi driver to buy and use one when he could, but instead chose to drive a series of Carina II's/Carina E's. It baffles me.

Ah ya cant beat the old Carina's/Corona's. I just love them, keep in mind that when i registerd on Boards.ie i was 18 i was mad about Volvo's at the time would of given me left bollok for a early 1982 Volvo 760 GLE insurance at the time was a quoted €6800. But like most things they change with age, six years on i'm converted Toyotophile.

Hope this finally answers yer questions as to why i dont drive a Volvo, and I Was VB. Now TB :D
