Swollen Foot

    Hi,

I was playing football last night and today the outside of my foot is swollen. Though it is not bruised it is sore to walk on and is sore when elevated.

I did not notice the pain until after the soccer so worried I did some damage.

Its the outside of my foot up to my small toe that is swollen.

Anyone had similar experience of this?

    Thanks!!

    No experience at playing football.

"RICE" is the generic approach to managing a lot of injuries. Rest it, put an ice pack on it, compress it with a bandage (not too tight to cut off circulation though!), elevate it. Go see your GP if it is serious, or if it doesnt improve.

Oh, never take sweets from strangers or advice from people on the internet. They're not to be trusted ;)

    Hope you get sorted out.

Sorry but as per our charter we can't give medical type advice here. As kingquez says, the world is full of people with dodgy sweets. Your best bet is to see a professional if it persists. Get well soon.

mod Can everybody see the difficulty with medical/injury advice? Should we advise for a bruise?, or a break? or a biography of Bob Marley?

Sorry OP, for the moment we can't give advice for medical/injuries, as per our charter (this is currently being looked at by Admins of the site)

Best bet is to get a professional opinion.
