Sorry for bumping this old thread but I just got my o2 Bill and I was disgusted. For the past few months my bill has been €19.99, I moved to a new apt this month in a bigger town and my speeds went up from 30Kb/s to 300Kb/s at times. I couldnt believe how much faster it was and the light on the dongle was now bright blue instead of green.

All was going well until I got a text from o2 saying my bill was €313.84 I couldnt believe it. Yes I started playing a little more on xbox Live and watched a few extra tutorials but nothing to drive my bill up that high.

Can faster download speeds add to your download allowance? That cant be right.

Post split to new thread. Don't bump old threads, especially to post something that's only marginally related to it.

You are charged for data used, and with higher speeds it is more likely that you will download more (because you can do it quicker). If you go over your limit, then they charge accordingly.
