What's that bull sticker mean?

    I know the fish symbol means "Christian" but what's the meaning of the bull sticker you see frequently enough to take note? You know, the one of a bull (in silhouette) standing to attention, looking out towards you.

    i think it means that the driver/owner is Spanish / has a connection to Spain

    Yes, its the Spanish bull. If you see a donkey, it is the synonymous with Catalan region & Barcelona. Catalans don't see themselves as being Spanish so they don't have the bull as their symbol.

    The image derives from roadside advertisements for Osborne Sherry, the flat metal bull images were erected on hillsides near major roads so they were silhouetted against the sky. They caught the public imagination and lots of the signs are now preserved as part of the landscape though the original advertisement is painted over so they are plain black, the logo has become the unofficial emblem of Spain.
