Has anyone noticed when their laptop is cold, that the touchpad wont work? I have noticed it a few times on my new Inspiron17r, that when I have left it in the car and try starting it, the touchpad doesnt function correctly.

Yep, happens to my Dell Studio 17 laptop as well. During the Xmas when I'd come back from work there would be a small amount of moisture on the touchpad surface.

It's annoying and it's related to the plastic material they use but I just wipe the touchpad area with a cloth.

Will try that next time. I normal press the start button and navigate my way to the mouse properties in control panel and then it starts working normal again
