I've used the thread here to add extra free channels on my sky box, but every so often they seem to all disappear and I have to start all over again! Can anyone advise as to why this seems to happen? Or is it just Sky not wanting us to have these extra channels!

What kind of sky box do you have???

The only box I know of that this happens to is an old Pace box which you would have to re-input all the extra channels if you unplugged it at night...

ah well there you go then! It is the original Pace box, my husband has the sky+HD in HIS room/office! I am lumbered with the old box! I don't unplug it at night though, however it does go on standby...would this cause it to do the same?

I really want to upgrade this box to a sky+ but trying to keep bills down and sky bill is high enough as it is, so have to make do for a bit longer!

Nearly sure too, there was a white Pace box, that lost the Other Channels if you used any Interactive service or digital text.

Ring Sky about it, I'm sure you can get a deal for a free Sky+ box or look around for a second hand one.

If you source another box there is no extra monthly costs for having a Sky+ box and once you have it then you could not live without it.

Only if the second box is being used as part of a Multiroom subscription and not just for free-to-air channels.

If you do have Sky Multiroom, then yes, Murpho999 is right.

rang Sky and as we already have a Sky+HD box, we would have to pay €250 to get another one! Talk about a joke! Doesn't even matter that the tv it would be used on isn't even a HD tv! thanks for nothing Sky, as useless as ever!
has anyone switched to UPC and would they recommend them??
